ALUGARD

USES
BITUMAT ALUGARD is an excellent protective coating for BUR, composition and modified bitumen roofs. Effective as waterproofing, preservative coating over aged bitumen roofs. ALUGARD is an effective coating over metal roofs and over roof flashing details.

OUTSTANDING FEATURES
Aluminum roof coating can reduce the roof temperature by as much as 10 °C;  which means that ALUGARD not only protects the roof, but also helps reduce the air-conditioning requirements, cooling or heating. Protects metal structures from rust or corrosion.  Restores old weathered existing roofs and eliminates the need for re-roofing.

APPLICATION
Remove dirt, debris, scale, loose gravel, granule. loose coating, oil and grease. If applying over dried-out weathered asphalt, first prime with BITUMAT BITUPRIME/BITUFAST. When coating a metal structure remove all dust, dirt and rust, by sand blasting, etching or steel wire brush, then prime with BITUMAT METALSEAL and allow the primer to cure for 2 days before coating. Apply with roofing brush, squeegee or airless spray equipment at the recommended coverage rates. The coating should be applied with all strokes in one direction to achieve colour uniformity and optimum brilliance. the material should be thoroughly stirred with a mechanical mixer prior to application. Best results are realized when application takes place at temperatures above 20 °C; with low relative humidity.
