DESCRIPTION
BITUMAT PIPESAVE is a hot applied oxidized bitumen supplied in solid form ready for re-heating. It is designed to protect steel pipes from corrosive environments and to prevent the formation of rust.

USES
BITUMAT PIPESAVE is particularly suitable for coating underground pipes carrying various fluids. The coating is of high electric resistance and protects the pipe surface from corrosion.

STANDARDS
Conforms to BS 4147 : Type 2, Grade B

APPLICATION
Heat in a bitumen boiler, or its equivalent, to about 250°C. Do not overheat beyond 260°C for any length of time or the qualities of the bitumen will be damaged.
Maintain a consistent temperature by continuously stirring the contents of the boiler.
